LIANE
Sometimes
you meet a woman that inspires you, but you can never
quite put your finger on the reason why. That’s Liane
for me.
We first worked together when she was running Imagine IC (in the Bijlmer in Amsterdam) and Mamamess ran a project with young women from Ghana. When Say My Name Rotterdam was just beginning to come together, I heard that Liane had just started a job running Kosmopolis in Rotterdam.
She was a hard woman to reach, but one day my phone rang and it was Liana telling me she’d read the plan, loved the plan and wanted in. From that moment I found in her a strong partner and a constant source of inspiration.
Liane is older and wiser than me and I managed to silence the rebel in me when necessary and give her space to do her job. I learned a lot. Together we tackled problems and made it all happen our way.
