Looking Back

We’re back in Amsterdam. And we’re missing SXSW. The festival was truly amazing. We enjoyed the whole ride! We got up early every day, we’ve put up our filmposter wherever possible, like true fanatics, and handed out our Chocolate Thai flyers to everybody who wanted to know about our film. Of course we went to parties all over the place, met so many cool people and loved the Texan sun.

What stuck to us the most however – and still does - is watching our film on a huge screen finally, and we mean huge! We did it! We were quite nervous before our world premiere on Sunday. Would there be enough people? Yes, plenty (approx. 250 visitors)! Would the image be beautiful and the sound how it should be? Yes, the film was projected really well and the sound was great. Would we be too nervous for the Q&A? Yes, we were, but we went through it with no problems. So much too tell! And then Say My Name was finally, after all these crazy years, airborn. Out there. Absolutely awesome.

It was a great feeling. We also enjoyed working with our publicists David, Winston and Eseel from L.A. They took us around and that early, early morning ride to the Texas breakfast news was quite exciting, as was breakfast at Magnolia’s! And now we move on.

Say My Name will be screened at the AFI Festival in Dallas this weekend and next Monday and Tuesday at the Sarasota Festival in Florida. And on Thursday we will be flying to Durham, North Carolina to attend the Full Frame Festival. Exciting! Say My Name on your way!
